This is my Konabear. He was a Golden Satin Syrian Hamster. He was very dear to me. He used to escape often. Everytime I'd block his exit, he'd find (or make) a new one. New cages didn't even work. He could always get out. But when he would get out, he would make the long trek across my room to my bed and climb up. Then he would climb up onto my shoulder and curl up to sleep which would of course wake me up and end up with him having to start all over. He was with me all day, either on my shoulder, in my lap, or in his ball. He would follow me around in his pink hammy ball while I did my chores and then when I'd sit down to watch TV with Lassie at my feet, he would roll his little ball over next to her belly and curl up and go to sleep. He loved Lassie (as everyone does). They would take turns chaing each other in a game of tag. Kona would tag Lassie then turn his ball around and run. Lassie would tag his ball then she turn and run and he'd chase her again. He was an amazing little hamster. He died 3 or 4 years ago of unknown causes and it was a devestating loss. I still cry for Kona sometimes. I loved him so much. There will never be another hammy like him.
